The Royalty of Ealdormere are Different from the Rest
Inspired by Chiara to create something for a bardic challenge that didn't actually happen I wrote a poem at Pennsic about some of my experience while
there. Someone was supposed to read the poem at the Ealdormere bardic circle for me but sent it to Valhalla on the boat instead.

Here is a version of the poem based on my notes

I love my lupine King and Queen
I know they are the best
I'd follow them into battle
My sword would never rest
But here at Pennsic War
They put my loyalty to the test
The royalty of Ealdormere
are different from the rest.

When first I met his Majesty
He was taken with a cold
His doctor [1] did use leeches
and his royal hand I did hold
Although he was charming and so brave
he wasn't at his best
The royalty of Ealdormere
are braver than the rest.

When next I met his Majesty
he'd fallen in a foot race
Concerned was I when I saw pain
across his beautiful face
I offered to fetch his doctor
he refused with all good grace
The royalty of Ealdormere
are tougher than the rest.

When next I met his Majesty
He was having lots of fun
He was wearing brown pajamas;
giving beads to everyone
I received 3 strings from him
(by method you can guess)
The royalty of Ealdormere
are bolder than the rest.

When next I met his Majesty
I was called up into court
I received my Award of Arms
(I can gleefully report)
Proudly signed Roak and Carlotta
(Your probably have guessed)
The royalty of Ealdormere
Are far above the rest.
